Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your PetitionMinder account at any time. There are two ways to do it — the in-app button is instant, and the email route is available if you cannot sign in.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes from Orkazoo LTD servers:

• your account record — your email address and hashed password, or the linked Google / Apple identifier;
• all petition data associated with your account — every petition you logged, including titles, platforms, URLs and the dates you logged them;
• your synced record across all devices signed in to that account.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no recovery window and we cannot restore a deleted account or its petition record.

Petition data held by UK Parliament or any other petition platform is not affected — PetitionMinder only ever stores your own private record. If you signed a petition on petition.parliament.uk or another platform, contact that platform directly about their records.

Data stored on your device

Deleting your account also clears PetitionMinder data saved locally in your browser. If you used the app as a guest, no data was ever sent to our servers — clearing your browser's site data for petitionminder.com removes it completely. On mobile, uninstalling the app removes its local data.

Method 1 — Delete in the app (instant)

The fastest route. Your account and data are removed immediately.

• Open PetitionMinder and make sure you are signed in.
• Go to the My Record tab.
• In the account card at the top, tap Delete account.
• Confirm in the dialog. Your account and all server-side petition data are deleted straight away, your local data is cleared, and you are signed out.

Method 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app or sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you.

• Subject: Delete my account
• Include: the email address on the account, sent from that address where possible so we can verify the request.

Email deletion requests are processed within 3 business days. We will confirm by email once the account and its petition data have been deleted. We may need to verify your identity before acting, to protect your account from unauthorised deletion.

Your right to erasure

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to erasure (the "right to be forgotten"), and account deletion gives effect to it. You also have the rights of access, rectification, portability, restriction and objection — see our Privacy Policy for the full list and how to exercise them. If you would like a copy of your data before deleting, request it at privacy@petitionminder.com and we will provide it in a machine-readable format. If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

After deletion, we retain nothing beyond what the law requires. Minimal security logs may persist briefly before routine rotation and are not used to reconstruct your account.

Revoking Gmail access

If you enabled optional Gmail scanning, you can revoke it independently at any time in your Google Account permissions. We never store your email content or Google credentials.
