Terms of Service
Orkazoo LTD · Effective 13 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Orkazoo LTD ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales, governing your use of PetitionMinder — our website at petitionminder.com and our mobile and web applications (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Independence — important notice
PetitionMinder is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or a representative of the UK Government, the UK Parliament, the House of Commons, the Petitions Committee, or any other government body or public authority. Orkazoo LTD is a private company and speaks only for itself. Any reference to UK Parliament is descriptive, to identify the source of public petition data.
2. What the Service does
PetitionMinder aggregates publicly available petition information and lets you keep a private record of petitions you have signed. The Service is an informational and organisational tool. It does not sign petitions on your behalf, does not submit your details to any petition platform, and does not guarantee that any petition will receive a response, be debated, or achieve any outcome.
3. Petition data and licensing
UK petition data displayed in the Service is retrieved from petition.parliament.uk and is used under the Open Parliament Licence v3.0. That data belongs to its rights holders and is provided by them. We present it as received and do not warrant its accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Signature counts and petition statuses may be delayed or change without notice. Where petitions from other platforms (Change.org, MoveOn, Care2, Avaaz, GoPetition, 38 Degrees and others) are referenced, those platforms and trademarks belong to their respective owners and we are not affiliated with them.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.
5. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at legal@petitionminder.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You may close your account at any time from My Record → Delete account or via our Account Deletion page.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose;
- misrepresent yourself as affiliated with Orkazoo LTD, PetitionMinder, UK Parliament or any government body;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems;
- scrape, overload, rate-limit-evade, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or the upstream data sources it relies on;
- upload or transmit malware, or use the Service to harass, abuse or harm any person;
- use the Service to facilitate any activity that exploits, endangers or sexualises minors — see our Child Safety Standards.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with or without notice where the breach is serious.
7. Gmail access is voluntary
The optional email-scanning feature requires your explicit consent and the Google gmail.readonly scope. It is entirely voluntary — the Service works fully without it. Scanning only runs when you request it, email content is processed in-flight and never stored, and you may revoke access at any time in your Google Account settings (Security → Third-party apps with account access). See our Privacy Policy for detail.
8. Intellectual property
The PetitionMinder name, logo, design and software are owned by Orkazoo LTD. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial purposes. All other rights are reserved.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that petition data will be accurate or current. Nothing in the Service is legal, political or professional advice.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, Orkazoo LTD is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, goodwill or data. Our total aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £50.
11. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue features, and may update these Terms. Where changes are material we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) will continue to apply.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you and Orkazoo LTD submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections available to you locally.
